“WHITE T” and “LOSS OF LIFE” join the MANCE MEDIA library.
HOLLYWOOD, California – February 19, 2013 – MANCE MEDIA, a worldwide film/television distribution company based at Sunset Gower Studios, acquired two feature length films for worldwide distribution coming out of the Berlin Film Festival. Mance Media acquired all international rights outside US/Canada to Prefect Films’ comedy “White T”, and all exclusive worldwide rights to Journey Pictures’ “Loss of Life”, a found footage horror film. Mance Media will plan a small theatrical release for both features internationally in 2013. “White T” premiered theatrically in the US on February 13, 2013 for a limited run through AMC theaters. These acquisitions are Mance Media’s premiere into feature film theatrical distribution.
On the new acquisitions, Mance Media’s CEO Matthew Mancinelli says, “Mance Media is dedicated to bringing the highest quality programming to our international buyers; with the addition of these first-run feature films, we’re fulfilling that promise. We are now seeking theatrical partners domestically and abroad as we approach MIPTV in Cannes.”
“White T” director/co-writer, Lance Frank says, “ I’m pleased and ready for ‘White T’ to receive international distribution opportunities that Mance Media’s presence offers.”
Loss of Life producer, Seda Melkoni says: “We are excited to be partnering with a young, aggressive company like Mance Media and look forward to the future of our film.“
“White T” is a feature length comedy about two twin brothers and their quest for rap super-stardom. “White T” features an all star cast led by real life brothers Jerod and Jaml Mixon, Tone Loc, Deion Sanders, Dot Jones, Tony Cox, Terrance Jenkins, Yasmin Deliz, Chyna, Eric Roberts, Gerry Bednob, and Fatman Scoop. This urban comedy is currently playing in theaters and is directed and written by Lance Frank. Blake Phillips of Prefect Films serves as co-writer and producer.
In the vein of “Paranormal Activity” and “The Blair Witch Project”, “Loss of Life” is a found-footage horror film. On October 31, 2011, in North Hollywood, California, a group of high school friends decided to document their Halloween night out. This film is the compilation of the footage found that night.
